Commentary The following are a series of on course commentary grabs from events such as the New Zealand Open, the New Zealand PGA Championship and the ANZ Ladies Masters. The first clip involves a final hole chat in 2004 with New Zealand great Bob Charles at what was, at that stage, his last appearance at the New Zealand Open, 50 years on from his first victory. In recent times Bruce has provided commentary in several events covered by European Tour Productions in co sanctioned events in Australasia. The most reccent was at the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic. The following are a few minutes of commentary in which Bruce is commentating with English commentator Warren Humphries. Johnnie Walker Classic commentary In this clip Bruce commentates for European Tour Productions with Scot, Renton Laidlaw, during coverage of the co-sanctioned European Tour's MasterCard Masters in Melbourne. During Bruce's on course commentary role at events he was often required to provide colour pieces, normally of 40 seconds or so for inclusion as a 'filler' during the coverage. As an ex caddy he was occasionally asked to provide an item on caddying. Here is one such clip from The 2003 NZ Open courtesy of Fox Sports. Bruce provides highlights voice-over commentary for Regional and State Championships which form part of the PGA Tour of Australasia. In this grab, Bruce and Terry Kennedy commentate on the final stages of the 2009 Victorian Open in Melbourne. Here are three such segments done initially by phone during the 2008 US Masters, then on camera at the 2008 Australian Masters and in the Sky studio during the 2008 Australian Open. Caddying The final of the 1973 Piccadilly World Match Play Championship at Wentworth has long been recognised as one of the great finals of this prestigious event. Here in this clip the drama over the last hour of the longest final in the history of the event, between Gary Player and Graham Marsh is beautifully captured. Bruce caddied for Graham Marsh for the first time in this tournament.
