Bruce Young has provided MC and tournament media services for the Greater Building Society’s Queensland PGA Championship held at Emerald Lakes over the past few years and much of the successful staging of the event and the benefit we at Nifsan have derived from the event has been due to Bruce’s involvement. Bruce has not only ensured the name of Nifsan and Emerald Lakes has gained maximum exposure as a result of our involvement but he has played host at the launch and prize-giving ceremonies for the event and the Daikin Night Golf Shootout which has become a feature of tournament week. Bruce will again be involved in a similar role at this year’s Australian Masters Invitational at Emerald Lakes

Bruce hosted the Women of Professional Golf Calendar sponsors' lunch at the Villa on the Gold Coast last year and his involvement as MC played a key role in the success of the day. Bruce not only ensured the lunch ran smoothly but his panel chat with four of the calendar girls proved interesting and entertaining due to his great rapport with the players. Bruce will again be involved when we hold the lunch in early 2009.

Bruce Young has been the golf contributor on my Saturday Morning Dugout Show on Radio Sport since 2002 and offers a consistently high standard each and every week. His coverage of events in which New Zealanders are participating and on the game of golf generally is wonderfully received by our audience. That he is able to do so from his Gold Coast base is evidence of not only his tremendous understanding of the game but his capacity to research extensively.

Bruce had also recently begun an opinion column on the www.skysport.co.nz website of which I am editor and again his contribution has already proven very popular.
